Saxapahaw!

June 15 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

We’ll be riding to Saxapahaw this Saturday (Jun 15) at a steady (easing on the climbs) pace of 19 mph. Starting near Green Level West & NC 55 at 8:30 a.m. using the following route:

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27240072
80 miles w/ 3,700 ft. elevation gain

Joining enroute is fine, but if you’re doing that, I recommend letting us know in a comment when/where to expect you.

Although this is technically a drop ride, we will endeavor to keep the group together as long as folks can maintain the average pace, and sitting in/skipping pulls is fine. We will regroup after Lystra and Mt. Olive Church climbs in particular.

Main rest stop is the coffee shop in Saxapahaw. Optional port-a-potty stop at Frosty’s and 2nd espresso at Breakaway Cafe!

Get your intensity out of the way during the week, then chill out with us for some mitochondria boosting endurance miles on Saturday 🙂

All riders should carry proper equipment in case they have a flat (spare tube, pump or CO2 cartridge). All bicycles should be in proper mechanical order.
