We’ll split into 2 groups after about 10 miles into the ride. The fast group will average 18-19mph while the slower group will average 16-17mph.
DISTANCE – APPROX 40 MILES FOR THE FAST GROUP AND 30 MILES FOR THE SLOWER GROUP.
It is important that everyone knows to look out for their fellow teammates so that no one is left to ride on their own.
Our rides may take us into dusk so its important that we are visible to drivers. Please bring your lights. We’ll increase our distance as we gain more daylight.
If you are new to the Gyros, the plan is always to RIDE and WORK together as a group.
To add interest and to keep everyone excited about the ride, we will mix it up each week. We’ll practice pacelines, climbing and sprinting. Experienced riders looking for something different after a hard ride on Tuesday nights and riders wanting to gain more group riding experience are welcome to join.
There are plenty of options for those who need to cut the ride short.
You MUST be able to maintain the minimum posted pace and have a road bike. The pace is always dictated by who shows up!
