Note that the Carolina TarWheels requires a completed waiver for all riders.
Current TarWheels members need to submit a waiver only once each season. This can be done online at this link: http://tarwheels.net/ewaiver
Alternatively, you may complete a paper waiver. Nonmembers will need to complete the paper waiver. You can download a copy from http://tarwheels.net/waiver.pdf You may print a copy, complete it, and bring it to the ride. I will also have blank copies available at the ride start.
Head and taillights are required from ~ mid-September until spring. Headlights must be bright enough to for you to see by, an in-town lamp powered by disposable batteries doesn’t fit the bill. A loaner can often be arranged, post a comment and we’ll try to arrange one.
The ride will be canceled in the event of rain or other water-based precipitation or if the temperature is expected to drop below freezing at any point during the ride.
Historical Note: The ride was initially established in 2007 as a MS-150 training ride by Teams GSK and NORTEL. The name IGNITER Indefatigable [team] GSK Nortel Invigorating Tuesday Evening Ride originated because participants continued to ride even when temperatures and daylight were low.
